ABOUT CASSANDRA DUPLER
When she was three years old, Cassandra's pre-K teacher asked
her class to name their favorite movies. Pocahontas, Toy Story and Babe were the most popular answers. Cassandra jumped up and said proudly, "Brigadoon!" When her teacher stared back at her blankly, she said, "You know... with Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse and Van Johnson!"
Cassandra has been acting and singing from the moment she could speak. She was enthralled with classic musicals on video and sang along with every Broadway soundtrack she could get her hands on. She began acting at the age of five, performing in local community theatre, as well as middle school and high school productions. She was accepted to The Hartt School with a 4-year performing arts talent scholarship and graduated with a BFA in Music Theatre, magna cum laude. Cassandra is based in New York and is a proud member of Actors' Equity.

Cassandra has always been drawn to heartfelt characters with a story to tell. Her comedic timing and dramatic gravitas have allowed her to portray a wide range of characters in both plays and musicals, from classics to contemporary. She has the rare ability to bring audiences to tears, both laughing and crying, as she combines raw power with vulnerability on stage.

Here’s what critics have said about some of Cassandra’s recent performances:

“impeccable timing,” “impressive,” “colorful,” “lively“

"Kudos...to the lively Cassandra Dupler as the wise-cracking Sister Mary Patrick."

“She was a Porphhyrean dichotomy…essence and existence, act and potency, substance and accident; her self-perception and the real Cassandra. And this tears at her very being. Dupler was explosive, charming, sexy, tough and almost every other emotional facet she could bring to bear....”

“Dupler had extremely good range, a rasping defiance down to a cooing obedience without interfering with the pentameter and with efficient projection.”
